On social media, Nick Kyrgios recently boasted about his professional accomplishments, saying he had won a significant sum of money and defeated some of the greatest players in history. However, the vast majority of tennis fans reacted negatively to the Australian's remarks.
Earlier this week, Kyrgios posted on social media to show his delight at not "failing any drug tests" and for continuing to improve every day following his 2023 wrist injury. Notably, Kyrgios has recently spoken out against the drug scandals involving Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek.
A fan then criticized the 29-year-old in a reply to his post. The former World No. 13 responded negatively to the fan's comment by enumerating some of his career-high points. Nick Kyrgios wrote, "I have an 8 figure career. Grand slam finalist and beaten all of the greatest of all time. Doesn’t seem bad to me. No drugs either."

Fans on X have taken issue with Kyrgios' most recent post. Carlos Alcaraz's accomplishment of defeating Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic before turning 20 was highlighted by one fan post on Twitter. "Also, Alcaraz defeated Rafa and Djokovic back to back on clay when he was 19. Forget Alcaraz who is a prodigy, someone like Tomas Berdych has defeated the Big Three thirteen times. None of them have made it their whole personality the way this man has."

Nick Kyrgios will back in action at Australian Open
Due to knee and wrist operations, Nick Kyrgios hasn't participated in a regular ATP Tour competition since late 2022. His most recent tour-level performance occurred at the Stuttgart Open in June 2023. The Australian is scheduled to compete in the Australian Open and the Brisbane International next year, marking his eagerly anticipated return.
Before starting his Melbourne Slam campaign, Kyrgios, the 2018 Brisbane International winner, will be motivated to do well at the ATP 250 event. The 29-year-old entered the singles main draw by using his Protected Ranking.
