Carlos Alcaraz shared his thoughts on his future in tennis, including his projected retirement year and the last Grand Slam event he aims to participate in during his career.
The 21-year-old star also expressed his aspirations regarding family life, mentioning the number of children he hopes to have and sharing his vision for a future partner’s name. Recently, Alcaraz defeated Ben Shelton in the Garden Cup, an exhibition event held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Wednesday.

“Well, I always say that I’m trying to make the people enjoy watching tennis. I just try to put the best of myself on court, try to play great shots, great points,” the Spaniard said after the match.
Alcaraz made an appearance in a video shared on Daniel Fernandez's Instagram account. In the video, Fernandez posed a series of questions about Alcaraz's future after presenting him with a piece of paper. Astonishingly, the magician accurately predicted the responses that the tennis star provided.
When asked about his retirement plans, the young Spaniard, currently 23 as of 2024, confidently stated that he aims to play until 2037. He believes that true greatness comes with longevity, and he is determined to reach his peak while still competing fiercely at 35.He added that he would love to retire at Wimbledon.
"It’s 2024, I’m 21, 2037? 2034 or 2035. No, I’ll change it. 2037! Yes that’s the last one. Because the true greats play a long time, I want to reach the peak and be 35, still fighting" Carlos said.
When asked about his future partner and the number of children he envisions, he confidently stated that he plans to have three kids.
"Hopefully, three, Ahh, what’s my wife’s name? I’m not sure, I will say… Maria." Carlos added.
