The World of tennis is in a bit of a silent phase with small tournaments and the end of the Davis Cup group stages right now. We have seen a lot of remarkable performances from the players this season and the nations in the Davis Cup group stages where we have finally got our finalists who will compete for the title in coming November this season.

One of the best teams we saw in the Davis Cup matches was Spain who had some top players in the form of  World number 3 Carlos Alcaraz. The team enjoyed an unbeaten run in the tournament and will no doubt be the clear favourites in the finals going forward. This will also be one of the rare occasions where the team might be competing without the legendary Rafael Nadal who was a part of 4 Davis Cup victories himself.

David Ferrer speaks on possible return for Nadal

The man who has been captaining the Spanish team in the tournament is former World number 3 David Ferrer who has enjoyed every moment of the tournament. The 2013 French Open finalist was also asked about the possible return for Nadal saying " He has recharged his batteries, and from there, whether he decides to be in Malaga or not is something that I will discuss with him. We will decide what we do with him."

From these words, it is evident that Ferrer who is good friends with the King Of Clay has revealed that he is fit to play. He also teased his possible return for the finals by further adding to the statement saying " The important thing is that Rafa is well, I know that if he is well and eager, he will arrive in Malaga in very good condition. From there, I don’t know, I wouldn’t tell you either.” With this statement, it is evident that we might get to see El Nino during the Davis Cup finals.
