The group stages for the Davis Cup have finally been done and we have goth the teams who will be going on to compete for the title in November. This has been an impressive tournament where we have seen some great performances from some of the most talented players we have seen this year and this time some great players in the Australian side impressed us a lot.

The Aussies were unbeaten in the group stages until they met their match against Spain and though there was the absence of Carlos Alcaraz, The Tasmanian nation still lost the match by a score of 2-1. Despite the loss the team still made it into the Davis Cup finals and will continue their journey and try to get their hands on their 29th Davis Cup title in November in Spain.

Hewitt blames scheduling over Australian loss.

There have been a lot of scheduling problems that the players have faced the problem of scheduling this season and have opened up on the matter as well. One of the people who have opened up on the scheduling of the Davis Cup is former World number one and 2-time Grand Slam winner Lleyton Hewitt who is one of the legendary figures in Australian tennis as well.

Hewitt has opened up on the scheduling problems saying, "To try and ask players to play the second day after a grand slam finishes, it's not easy, That's the stupid part of this format, isn't it? You know, I can keep saying it. In the old (weekend only) format, I used to have to do it, but you'd at least have until Friday before you had to play. Now to play on Tuesday, it's ridiculous."

These words from the Australian great were enough to display his frustration over the scheduling and it seems to be some honest words from Hewitt and maybe it is time that the ITF makes some changes to the scheduling so that the players are not fatigued just before a match.
