Sorana Cirstea posted an Instagram story and claimed that her Cleveland Trophy 2025 had been stolen. Sorana, who has been staying in Room Number 314 at The Fifty Sonesta, confirmed that the trophy had been stolen from her personal space. The veteran said that the trophy has no material value but has sentimental value for her. Cirstea claimed it would be greatly appreciated if she got back the trophy she won a little over a week ago.

"Whoever stole my Cleveland trophy from room 314 at The Fifty Sonesta, please give it back! It has NO material value, just sentimental value. It would be greatly appreciated!" wrote Cirstea on her Instagram story. Fans were upset with the fact that her trophy was stolen and wished she would get it back soon.

Cirstea gave a good performance in the Cleveland Trophy ahead of the US Open 2025. It was the third WTA Singles title in her career, and obviously meant a lot. The veteran beat Ann Li in the final to win the title to gain the much-needed confidence for the US Open 2025.

While the Romanian was playing her US Open match against Karolina Muchova, the trophy was stolen from her room. The hotel management did not have anything to say about the incident. She has been eliminated from the Flushing Meadows in both Singles and Doubles events.
