The third set was neck in neck which saw both the players break services, but it was finally Zverev who took the set 7-5 only one set away from a Grand Slam title. For Alcaraz, this was a do-or-die set. The 4th set saw the Spaniard come back most brutally with a score of 6-1.  This once again turns out to be a game that goes down to the fifth and final set.

The last and final set also belonged to the Spaniard as Alcaraz went on to win his first-ever Roland Garros title and became the youngest player to win a Grand Slam on all surfaces.
