The Women's singles tournament of the French Open is finally over and we have finally got our champion for the 2024 season. This has been a tournament we all have looked forward to and it has had its moments of great matches and great great talented players in the mix. There is no doubt that this tournament has had its fair share of surprises, but it has also kept us entertained with some great tennis this season.
The champion of the Women's singles was once again Iga Swiatek who has defended her Roland Garros crown once again winning 3 back-to-back titles. She is only the third WTA player to achieve a 3-peat in the French Open. She has once again dominated this Clay season and is still the number-one player in the rankings. This has been a great season for her so far and she has already broken a lot of records very early into her career and has already won 5 Grand Slam titles which include 4 French Opens and one US Open.
Swiatek embraces her father after a historic win
Swiatek has been one of the most dominant players in the setup and was playing against Jasmine Paolini in the finals of the current French Open where she beat the Italian in two straight sets. After the victory, the Polish superstar celebrated with a scream on the court and went into the stands to hug her father Tomasz Swiatek who had supported her in her career to become a competitive athlete in the game. This was truly an emotional and joyful moment to witness between a father and daughter who had worked hard to get here.

This has been a great moment for both of these athletic people Tomasz who has been a former Olympian has once again been there in the success of her talented daughter where she has gone on to create history. This is one of the biggest achievements for the World Number 1 and we all will be looking forward to what she has in store for us in the upcoming tournaments.
