Tennis star Novak Djokovic has pulled out from the ongoing Italian Open 2025 after his horrendous and flop show in the Mutua Madrid Open 2025. The Serb is set to make his appearance in the Geneva Open, an ATP 250 tournament ahead of the French Open 2025. Notably, the 24-time major champion is not making an appearance in Rome, but discussions surrounding his dream coach still dragged his name in.

The Italian Open's official Twitter account recently shared a video where some ATP and WTA stars were talking about their dream coach. Many players were seen picking Novak Djokovic as their dream coach. Players with the likes of Alex de Minaur, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Aryna Sabalenka, and Holger Rune were seen naming the 37-year-old legendary player.

"Djokovic might be on the hunt for a new coach…What he might not know is that most of his colleagues are on the hunt for HIM," the caption read.

Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray ended their professional relationship

Tennis legend Novak Djokovic is no longer working with his friend and former rival Andy Murray after working for just five months. The star player will be with the new coach ahead of the Roland Garros 2025. Andy Murray joined Djokovic in the Australian Open 2025, where he made it to the semi-finals before retiring against Alexander Zverev.

He then suffered opening-round defeats in the Qatar Open 2025 and Indian Wells 2025. The star player did make it to the finals of the Miami Open 2025 but failed to manage to win a single match on the clay court swing. He suffered first-round exits in the Monte Carlo Masters and Madrid Open before pulling out from the Italian Open 2025.

"Thank you, coach Andy, for all the hard work, support, and fun we have had over the last six months, both on and off the court. I really enjoyed deepening our friendship," read Djokovic's statement, who will soon have to reveal who will accompany him in Geneva and Roland Garros.
