Ben Shelton has announced that certain US Open players will face fines if they violate the 'Nick Kyrgios rule' at Flushing Meadows. Shelton, sponsored by Yonex, a provider of rackets for major tournaments, has made it clear that there will be consequences for breaking the rule. Nick Kyrgios, known for his fiery temperament, demonstrated this behavior at the US Open  two years ago by destroying his racket after a defeat.

Several tennis players display frustration by smashing their rackets on the ground, but Shelton does not engage in this behavior. In an interview with Bleacher Report, he mentioned that Yonex imposes fines on players who deliberately break their rackets on the court.

Shelton's comments were noticed by Kyrgios on X (formerly Twitter), and he implied that Yonex may have implemented the rule to deter other players from emulating his actions.

Andrey Rublev  one of the recent Gulities

Andrey Rublev displayed unsportsmanlike conduct during his defeat to Grigor Dimitrov at the US Open on Sunday by breaking his racket and repeatedly hitting himself over the head and on his hands in a fit of temper. This behavior led to him injuring himself, with his hand starting to bleed, requiring treatment during the changeover. Even commentator Kyrgios was surprised by Rublev's outburst and offered some advice.

"That’s when I get a bit worried, when you start hurting yourself and it hinders your performance," said the Aussie.

"I much prefer when he hits his shoe, not his hand or his head." he added

One of the greatest of all times Martina Navratilova also advised Rublev to save energy for 'good stuffs' like hitting the tennis ball . She also contemplated that the Young Russian has what it takes to win Grand Slams , provided that he keeps his emotions in check.
