Madrid Open 2024: Alexander Bublik books spot in Round number 16, knocks out Ben Shelton

Tennis superstar Alexander Bublik defeated Ben Shelton during round number 3 and qualified for the fourth round. Notably, the star player will now face the winner between Daniil Medvedev and D. Korda in the next round and will be looking to defeat them to place himself in the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open 2024.

Speaking about the game, Alexander Bublik beat Ben Shelton by 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 at Caja Magica on Monday. Notably, Alexander Bublik wasn't looking great at the start, as he went on to lose the first set. However, he was able to make a great comeback in the second and third sets and went on to win the third round on April 29. Meanwhile, this is the very first time he has won straight matches since losing to Casper Rudd during the round of 32 last year.
