The Madrid Open is featuring some talented individuals in the mix especially in the WTA. There have been plenty of players who have also made a great comeback and are threatening to be one of the contenders to win the tournament. These comeback queens have proven in this season that they are still capable of giving great performances in the WTA tour this season.

One of the comeback special players this season is 30-year-old American Danielle Collins. Collins had fallen off the reward in the last season and had to do something special to make a comeback. She did exactly that and has entered the top 15 straight away. She has already won two consecutive WTA singles titles and is going after her 3rd one in the current Madrid Open. There is no doubt that she will be one of the top players in this tournament as well.

Collins furious with a fan

Collins is currently playing Romanian Jacqueline Cristian in the third round of the tournament. Collins was struggling in the first set of the match and was trying to make a comeback in the second to get back in the game. During the game there was also a fan that was in some way getting on her nerves as well. To this the current world number 15 chose to give the fan a piece of her mind with a reply saying “ You come out and you play. Come out here and do what I do, okay? Have a little more respect.” Even the fans have taken the support of Collins to take a stand against the terrible behaviour of the fans.

There will be some reactions from people questioning Collins for her reaction, but we have to give her some credit that even when angry she chose to give a reply and just get back to her game. The only problem with this is that it puts her into a controversial position where there will be a lot of debate. She would still appreciate the fans on social media for taking her side in the matter. We would still like her to concentrate on her game and look to win another title in the clay season.
