Jannik Sinner beat Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 in the straight sets to win the WTA Finals 2024. The World Number one became the first Italian to claim the ATP year-end and the number one presige. Jannik Sinner was so dominant that he became the first player since 1986 to win the tournament without dropping a set.

It was an easy ride for the World Number 1 as he overcame the American in straight sets. Right from the word go, he was dominant and gave little to no chances for the World Number 5. Jannik was brilliant on serve and hit a whopping 10 and 4 aces in the first and second sets respectively. Additionally, Sinner used backhand and drops to keep his opponent off balance.

Taylor Fritz had to work hard for his points. He got them after getting involved in long rallies. Sinner just seemed to be in total control of the game. The Turin crowd seemed to be behind the Italian which helped him bring his A game. Sinner joined the elite list of players to have won two Grand Slams and WTA finals in the same year.

After Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, he is only the third star to win the Australian Open, US Open, and the WTA finals in the same year. He had one of the most dominant tournaments ever for a player.

Sinner was happy aftee claiming an incredible win. He felt it was amazing to win the title in Italy. Jannik regarded it to be a special moment. He felt the key was to give his best. Sinner concluded by saying it was a high-level tournament and he could not have done any better.

"It's amazing. It's been an amazing week - my first title in Italy and it's something very, very special. I tried to play the best possible tennis I can. That was the key. It was a very high-level tournament from my side and at times I couldn't play better so I'm very happy," said Sinner.
