The Laver Cup is finally over and it was one of the most dramatic 3-day events of the season where we saw both the teams battle hard in the 3 days. It was Team Europe who secured the victory winning with the final score being 13-11. This victory ensured Bjorn Borg and his men won their 5th title and made sure that Team World's title defense chances were ruined.

The teams went into the final day with Team World looking like favourites with the score at 8-4 in favour of them, but Team Europe were not going to take it lying down. It all started with Casper Ruud and Carlos Alcaraz who surprised Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton in the doubles keeping Europe in the game. Though the team faced a setback with Medvedev losing to Shelton, Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz made sure they won the last two games and won back the Laver Cup title for Team Europe.

Alcaraz reacts to Federer comparisons after Laver Cup win

There is no doubt there were some great performances from Team Europe, but it was Alcaraz who was the hero for them winning 3 of his four games and leading the team to their 5th Laver Cup win. After the win, the World number 3 was starting to get compared to Roger Federer from the 2005 season. However, the answer from the 4-time Grand Slam winner after hearing these comparisons is what won everyone's heart as he says " Im too far away from that level, hopefully, I’ll reach it one day. But it’s gonna be impossible. They have to change my name because Fed 05 is gonna be forever for ". This is one of the most humble reactions from the 21-year-old superstar who has taken tennis by storm.

The highlight of the moment was also to see Federer's reaction from the stands who was overwhelmed from the answer as well. It is safe to say that Carlos is on the right track not only in terms of his game but also his attitude towards it.
