Laver Cup 2024 produces hilarious moments amid the intense on-field battles at the German capital. Recently, Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe stole the show with their funny gestures. Tiafoe is one of the most charismatic figures in the tennis fraternity, and the American's camaraderie with Alcaraz is no secret.
Tiafoe was spotted wearing black sunglasses during Taylor Fritz’s match against Germany’s Alexander Zverev. He couldn’t control his joy when Team World earned a point and he celebrated by stepping across the borderline and in front of Team Europe’s bench area.
Noticing this, Alcaraz jokingly escorted his friend back to his team’s dugout at the stadium. Meanwhile, the Spaniard tried to invade the Team World area, which led to a friendly banter between the two and another fun moment in the hard-court tournament.

Meanwhile, Team World ended the opening day at 2-2 after Shelton and Taylor Fritz beat the duo of Zverev and Alcaraz in the doubles match. With Tiafoe stunning World No. 5 Daniil Medvedev on Saturday, Team World took a 4-2 lead.
Tiafoe lost the opening set 3-6 after dropping his serve twice and it looked like Medvedev would take the game easily. However, the 26-year-old staged a brilliant comeback to win the next two sets 6-4, 10-5 in an hour and 35 minutes.
The third set was forced to go into a tiebreaker and with Medvedev leading 4-3, it looked like he would go all the way. From a difficult position, the former No. 10 took control of the game and eventually won it, thanks to an error by his Russian opponent on the forehand.
