Elina Svitolina talks about the treatment of Ukrainians amidst the war and how the Russian governement has treated them and their children. The Ukrainian number 1 believes that the Russians are trying to wipe the country out of the world and warns the people against the atrocities which are affecting their children.

The Russian and Ukraine war is one of the biggest tragedies of the world right now and the latter have been facing a lot of troubles. Though we still have some Ukrainian sportsman represent their nation, especially in the sport of Tennis, including the likes of Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk still giving us some great performances in the game, it has still been a tough time for the players with the turmoils the nation is going through right now amidst this war.

Svitolina unhappy with the Russian government

Elina Svitolina, one of the top Tennis players from Ukraine, has made it clear that she is unhappy with the war and is unhappy to see how many families and friends are struggling. In fact, some kids are still stuck in Russia and Svitolina has opened up on how the Russians have been unfair to them. 

"How we feel as Ukrainians is that the Russian government wants to erase us from the map.By taking our territory, by stealing our children, and launching missiles at us. This is genocide and they try to do it in different ways,” Svitolina said.

Svitolina also urged the nation to bring the children back. "As a mother, this work is very important to me. The children are our future. We have to act to bring them back. It is a terrible issue that we have here in Ukraine. We need to do something about it. It is not acceptable in our world,” she said. Real emotions are displayed through this statement and we hope this warning from Svitolina goes through.
