Tennis star Emma Raducanu heads to the third round of the 2025 Australian Open for the first time in her tennis career after battling through injury to topple her close rival Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 7-5 in a second-round thriller on January 16. The star player showcased her stellar form in the opening set and easily registered the win.

However, Amanda staged a comeback in the second set, but the British star kept her poise in the game and made sure she marked a straight-set win in the second set itself to make it to the next round.
It's worth mentioning that the Canada-born star's back spasmed in the pre-season when she bent to her lace shoes, and that knocked her out from the training camp at the Auckland Open in New Zealand. However, even here in Melbourne Park, she was struggling to serve a full tilt in the practice and her first-round win against Alexandrova.
