Tennis star Coco Gauff defeated Jodie Anna Burrage by 6-3, 7-5 in the second round of the 2025 Australian Open and heads to the third round of the showpiece event. The USA star made a stunning start as she easily won the first set in the game. However, the Canadian star staged her comeback in the second set, but the 20-year-old tennis star maintained her dominant run and marked the straight-sets win. The star player is now set to face Leylah Fernandez in the third round of the game.

Coco Gauff, currently ranked world number three, now aims to topple Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek in the WTA rankings. The USA star had the great start of the 2025 year as she, alongside Taylor Fritz, guided her nation to win the 2025 United Cup.

Maybe have a drink with my parents?

Following the win, 20-year-old Gauff was recently asked about her 21st birthday plans. The USA star revealed hilariously she would drink with her parents. She further revealed that her friends want her to go to Miami to enjoy her 21st birthday.

""Uhm, I don’t know... I’m not a huge party person.. Maybe have a drink with my parents? I don’t know. I was legal everywhere else except the US. So I don’t think that much will change because I travel a lot. I know my friends want me to go have a party in Miami and do something crazy. But I’m an athlete. So this is my thrill," Coco Gauff said after beating Burrage at the Australian Open 2025.
