Notably, Sabalenka has come into this tournament after winning the titles in 2023 and 2024 at Melbourne Park. If she wins her third consecutive title, she will be the first woman to do so in the Australian Open since 1997. The 26-year-old tennis star started her journey by winning the Brisbane International 2025 title earlier this month and now sets her sights on winning the first Grand Slam of the year. Her performance showcases that she is one of the players to win the title here.

Meanwhile, Sabalenka expressed happiness after she successfully won the third round of the game. The Belarusian was asked about facing Tauson in this thriller. The 26-year-old tennis star also spoke highly about how crucial it is to stay mentally healthy in the Grand Slams.

Jounalist asked - “If you had to rate your mental strength today, how would you rate it?”

Aryna: “Honestly I was playing this match and thinking ‘Wow girl… you’re really tough."
