Tennis star Jannik Sinner continued his hard-court love affair as the Italian made it to the third round of the Australian Open 2025 after beating Tristan Schoolkate in the second round thriller at the Rod Laver Arena at the Melbourne Park on January 16, Thursday. The world number one suffered defeat in his first set of the game, surprising fans and the tennis fraternity.

However, the 23-year-old tennis star staged his impressive comeback in the second set to level up the match. The Italian continued his onslaught in the third and fourth sets of the game and made it to the third round of the Australian Open on Thursday.

The star player had a stellar 2024 year as he won the Australian Open and US Open that year. However, Carlos Alcaraz had won the rest of the two Grand Slams. The Italian poses a great chance to defend his Australian Open title this year and to maintain his top ATP rankings.

Serbian ace Novak Djokovic and Aussie star Nick Kyrgios have been slamming him for months, but he can turn back the clock with his title win in the Australian Open.

The Italian will be looking to pose a big threat to his rivals heading to the fourth round of the showpiece event.
