Aryna Sabalenka confidently secured a spot in the final at Flushing Meadows after a commanding victory over USA's Emma Navarro with a score of 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) on Thursday at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Following last year's disappointing loss in the final to Coco Gauff, despite winning the first set, Sabalenka is determined to rectify her past performance and clinch her first hard-court major title. Despite being her first Grand Slam semi-final, Navarro put up a strong fight before succumbing to Sabalenka. With a 2-1 lead in head-to-head matchups against her American opponent, Sabalenka's confidence remains high.

Furthermore, Sabalenka is set to compete in her consecutive finals at Flushing Meadows, which showcases dominance on the hard court.

Aryna Sabalenka Opened up in the Post Match Interview

In the post-match interview, the world number 2 expressed her resilience in the face of challenging losses. She emphasized that setbacks serve as motivation for her to persistently strive for success.

Sabalenka's experiences at Arthur Ashe Stadium have been demanding. Despite her defeat in the previous finals against Coco Gauff at Flushing Meadows, she conveyed confidence and a positive outlook heading into this year's tournament.

When questioned about her ability to maintain optimism and an open mindset after her painful loss to Coco Gauf at the same venue, Sabalenka candidly acknowledged missed opportunities for various reasons, including her own readiness, emotional state, and the influence of the crowd. She also commended the city and the venue's crowd, expressing that when she competes on this hard court, she sees it as a potential turning point. She dreams of one day lifting the Flushing Meadows crown. Rather than disheartening her, tough losses fuel her determination to work harder and make a triumphant return to the tournament.

Sabalenka stated, "Yeah, I had really tough lessons here in the past… I think I had so many opportunities here, but I didn't use them for different reasons. I wasn't ready. Then I got emotional. Then I just couldn't handle the crowd.

"I felt like I just missed opportunity, and every time I'm coming back here, I really enjoy being in New York, I enjoy these courts, I enjoy the crowd, I enjoy playing in this beautiful stadium in front of the crowd. I enjoy the city, the time on the court."
