Ricochet went mad and smashed Swerve Strickland's head with a scissor on the first AEW Dynamite episode of 2025. The star wrestler avenged for his humiliation at AEW Worlds End where he was wished the New Year with a toilet paper from Strickland and the fans. He even smashed Swerve and Prince Nana with a steel chair.
Swerve had a triple-threat match with Jay White and Roderick Strong. Swerve was in a dominant position as he delivered chop after chop and took on both of his opponents with ease. He went to the ringside and tried to jump over the duo through the barricade. That was when Ricochet appeared out of nowhere.

The former WWE Superstar smashed Strickland's head with a scissor. Blood started to flow from Swerve's head and Ricochet delivered repeated attacks. Prince Nana tried to save Strickland. But Ricochet did not care and continued his attack. He soaked in the blood himself and seemed to have enjoyed what he did.

Ricochet threw Swerve into the ring and got a steel chair in his hand. Prince Nana tried to stop him but in vain. Ricochet smashed him with a steel chair and proceeded to attack Swerve. The star wrestler hit Swerve with the chair and made him sit on it.
Prince Puma delivered a vicious Clothesline and the fans booed him. Ricochet had a smile at Strickland and laughed at the fans. He successfully avenged his humiliation at Worlds End and forced a help from Adam Cole and O'Reilly. But they were probably a bit too late to enter the scene.
They looked up to see how Swerve was. It seemed like the former world champion wanted some medical help. He was then taken back to the locker room with care. In the upcoming weeks, the feud between the duo is likely to intensify. Fans felt happy about it as they are getting to see two of the best in-ring workers go hard at each other.
