Mariah May delivered the banned move, Piledriver through the table to Thunder Rosa and pinned her to claim a win at AEW Worlds End. While May successfully defended her title, Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander created an AEW history by wrestling for 24 minutes and 35 seconds. It is now the longest women's match in the company's history.
Mariah May and Rosa delivered a decent to a good match in the night. The match was not particularly brilliant. However, it had some great spots. What caught the attention of the fans was how the match ended. Towards the ending moments of the match, Rosa and May found themselves at one end of the ring.

The duo teased taking out each other before Mariah delivered a massive blow. The world champion, who had initially placed a table towards one side of the ring, lifted Thunder and delivered a Piledriver through the table down the ring. The fans went crazy at the spot as Mariah used a banned move.
Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander create history at AEW World End
The referee counted three and May successfully defended her title. Banned moves being used has become a norm across Wrestling promotions lately. In WWE, Kevin Owens used a Piledriver and a Package Piledriver to take out Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes respectively. May pulled off something similar at AEW Worlds End.
The PLE also featured a match between Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander. The CEO Mone became a part of another historic moment. The duo wrestled for 24 minutes and 35 seconds, which is a new record for the longest women's match in AEW history. It is seen both as a progress and a backward move.
Fans felt women wrestlers getting enough time to wrestle was a good move. However, they claimed it took over 5 years for the promotion to give enough time for a women's match. In fact, it is the only women's match in AEW history to have spanned over 20 minutes. Mone successfully defended her TBS Championship in the PLE.
