Swerve Strickland and fans wished New Year to Ricochet by throwing toilet papers at him at AEW Worlds End. Swerve asked Ricochet to forget 2024 and wished him a good 2025. The former WWE Superstar was visibly angry and kept staring at the former AEW World Champion. The duo could have a feud with each other in 2025.
Ricochet was scheduled to take on Kazuchika Okada in the final of the Continental Classic at AEW Worlds End. The match already became popular among the fans as it involved Okada spanking Ricochet's head. It was a good match, and Ricochet could not claim a win. Kazuchika retained his Continental Championship and was crowned by Kenny Omega.

After the match could take place, Swerve entered the ringside from nowhere. Prince Nana started to distribute the toilet paper to the fans. Strickland asked Prince Puma to forget 2024 and felt the need to focus on 2025. He claimed everyone in the arena would wish him a happy New Year.
Will Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet be a top feud of 2025?
Swerve asked the fans to throw the toilet papers handed over to them all at the same time to the ring on counting three. As Swerve counted, fans threw the paper and sang Happy New Year. Ricochet was angry at it and kept staring at Strickland. The star wrestler then threw the toilet paper and wished Happy New Year.
Swerve's music hit, and he started walking away along with a dancing Prince Nana. Fans felt it to be the second must-funniest segment of the night after Okada's slap to Ricochet's head. Interestingly, both segments saw Ricochet at the receiving end.
It was one of the worst nights for Ricochet in his wrestling career. Fans felt the segment would force the star wrestler to go behind Swerve in 2025. Many felt the idea of having a feud between Swerve and Ricochet as great. Both of them are great in the ring. While Swerve has improved his character and ring skills, Ricochet is working on the same.
