Swerve Strickland and Ricochet tease match with each other on AEW Dynamite Photograph: (X)
Swerve Strickland and Ricochet teased a future match with each other during their small segment backstage on AEW Dynamite. As Ricochet was speaking with Renee Paquette about his match with Will Ospreay, later this week, Swerve confronted him. Ricochet reminded Swerve of his failure in the C2 last year before claiming he would pull it off this time around.
Earlier in the night, Ricochet had a segment with the Hurt Syndicate. While the Prince Puma let the faction know of his accomplishments so far in the company, the members of the faction were not too pleased with it. Bobby Lashley manhandled the star wrestler and MVP took the business card away and tore it saying they did not want kiss as*es.

Backstage on AEW Dynamite, Renee Paquette interviewed Ricochet and asked his opinion on what happened with the Hurt Syndicate. Even Ricochet was clueless as he was given the business card initially and was taken away in one of the most unexpected ways. He claimed to not worry about them.

Ricochet further spoke about his Continental Classic match against Will Ospreay. He claimed facing and beating Will as one of the motives for him to join AEW. He was confronted by Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. The fans loved the segment and chanted "Whose house, Swerve's house".
The duo recalled their time together in the past. Swerve believed Ricochet was the same man he used to be in the past - His follower. Prince Puma replied saying he was in AEW to do something Strickland couldn't - win the Continental Classic. Ricochet reminded Swerve that he could not get past the C2 last year.
Prince Puma moved out of the segment by letting his jadakiss laugh. Swerve turned towards Nana and claimed that was the reason behind him being bald. The duo had a laugh at each other marking the end of the segment. Fans felt the two wrestlers might deliver a great feud if paired together in the upcoming weeks.
