At AEW WrestleDream 2024, Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson to win the AEW World Title. Tony Khan made a significant booking choice since, with that defeat, Bryan's in-ring career came to an end. Moxley got the opportunity to make his first impression as champion at the AEW Dynamite on October 16.

This week, Dynamite began with a Jon Moxley video. People don't know anything about him, he claimed, and he will be held accountable for things. In his fantasy, he sees AEW as a place of opportunity where individuals may reach their full potential.

According to Jon Moxley, he detests the out-of-control egos that have characterized AEW. He asserted that dancing and partying are unnecessary when they are unnecessary. To create a new forest, he will burn the old one down. "If you don't, run while you can, stand down while you can, get out of the way!" he said, inviting everyone who wanted to join them in their quest for a better future.

Watch here the video:

"It is very simple, you work for me now," he said when he asked what the new paradigm was. He made a big statement, but that was a very sinister way to start the evening. In case you missed it, Jon Moxley defeated Darby Allin in a match against #1 contenders at Grand Slam 2024 to earn a chance to face Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream and win the AEW World Title.

Wheeler Yuta and Darby Allin stepped in to protect Bryan Danielson

At WrestleDream 2024, Moxley managed to break out of the LaBell Lock and land a DDT on the exposed concrete outside the ring after Bryan Danielson countered a Paradigm Shift with a Psycho Knee. The new AEW World Champion was crowned when Moxley was locked in a chokehold that resulted in a referee stoppage following more exchanges. Danielson's championship reign came to an end with this defeat since he had promised to quit his profession if he lost.

Wheeler Yuta and Darby Allin stepped in to protect Danielson from more damage, but Yuta turned on Allin, holding him in place, and joined Moxley in a gruesome demonstration as they covered Danielson's head with a garbage bag.
