After losing at Roadblock against Stephanie Vaquer, former WWE NXT Women's Champion Giulia has spoken out. Giulia's reign as the title was ended by Stephanie using three finishers in the bout, thereby establishing Stephanie as the NXT Women's and NXT Women's North American title.
Giulia posted her comment on social media about Stephanie Vaquer's unexpected winner-take-all victory at WWE NXT Roadblock just one day ago, and she isn't backing down. “I lost. It’s frustrating, but she deserved the win. Congrats, my friend! I’m not done yet… I’m still burning with determination! #WWENXT,” Giulia wrote on Twitter.
NXT's women's division saw a dramatic change after the loss, as Vaquer emerged as a double champion, holding the NXT Women's Championship and the NXT Women's North American Championship. It was a back-and-forth bout that lived up to the reputation of being one of the most important women's contests in NXT history. In the end, they engaged in combat on the top rope, where Giulia executed a flawless superplex. After that, they continued, with the NXT Women's Champion punishing Stephanie Vaquer.
Stephanie Vaquer's signature move helped to win the title
Afterward, Giulia managed to kick out when Stephanie Vaquer hit an SBD. Then Vaquer attempted a Spinal Tap from the top rope, but Giulia subdued her with the Rings of Saturn. Vaqeur finally managed to pull her legs over the bottom rope. Giulia struck him with her knee, but Vaquer also kicked out of it. They persisted, with Stephanie Vaquer landing a last SBD, two still kicks, and another to seal the victory. Stephanie Vaquer now holds both the NXT Women's and NXT Women's North American Championships simultaneously, making her the first wrestler to do so.
Giulia isn't done pursuing her dreams, even though her post shows respect for Vaquer. When she will be able to return to the ring is still unknown, though, as reports indicate that she is juggling both a visa issue and an injury.
