'He has a lot of unfinished business...' - Mercedes Mone wants Shane McMahon to join AEW

Even before Shane's July meeting with Tony Khan, there had been persistent rumors for months that he would be headed for the AEW. Shane was on the same plane with The Young Bucks last week and also happened to run see Mone at the airport this summer.

In celebration of five years of Dynamite, AEW pulled off the celebration without a Shane McMahon in tow. It's unclear how long they can survive without a McMahon employee for another five years, as it seems like Shane McMahon is off to the Land of All Elite. Mercedes Mone discussed the potential for Shane McMahon to make a risky move into AEW in the most recent issue of her magazine, Mone Mag. She's all for it, and while she was at it, she spoke for everyone in the locker room.

"Seeing Shane's incredible heart and passion for wrestling makes me think he has a lot of unfinished business. It also makes me think is Shane coming to AEW? I'm here for it, and I,m sure our roster is too. Regardless, it just seems like Shane belings in the wrestling business. I admit if he doesn't come back to wrestling, it will make me sad for him. I know what it's like to be remove from what you love and how sad it made me. I imagine he feels the same way," Mercedes Mone said as per YardBaker.

Tony Khan and Shane McMahon meet eachother

An announcement involving Shane McMahon and AEW would be revolutionary. It remains to be seen how they go with this plot, but it could be more than simply an angle. After all, this whole rumor mill began with a meeting between Tony Khan and McMahon that was leaked. Since he hasn't been employed by WWE for an extended period, Shane McMahon has no affiliation with the organization anymore. Whether he is involved in this is a mystery.

Right now, Tony Khan would be perfectly suited to astonish fans with a gigantic Shane McMahon surprise. The rumors that McMahon would join AEW have not stopped, with some fans speculating that he and Jon Moxley would be introduced as members of the "new" Blackpool Combat Club.
