Mercedes Mone was in an interview recently ahead of 'All In' where she was asked a lot of questions. The star wrestler opened up on the difference between AEW and WWE. She claimed it to be 'night and day' by highlighting how she was not able to work with creative freedom in WWE compared to her time in AEW so far.
Mercedes Mone said she did not have any idea about what she would do every week. But she felt they provided her the space required to be heard. "The difference between the two companies is night and day. In WWE you have no idea what you’ll be doing week to week, but here [in AEW] I have space to be heard," said Mone in the interview.
Mone said she has been able to discuss with Tony Khan and her personal writer Jennifer Pepperman the story she wanted to tell. Mercedes said she was treated with respect in AEW and felt it was not the case when she was at the Stamford-based company. Mone said she loves being in AEW a lot. In the process, Mone took a dig at the way WWE performed.
'I love it so much here' - Mercedes Mone on her stint in AEW
"Along with Tony Khan and my friend and personal writer Jennifer Pepperman, there’s time to sit down and really plan out the kinds of stories we want to tell. I’m treated with genuine respect, and I really feel seen in a way I sometimes haven’t before. I love it so much here," added Mone in the interview. The statement of the former WWE Superstar has gone viral on X and other social media platforms.
Ahead of All In, Mone has received traction from the fans. While some felt it was not the case, others stood by her and felt she could be right. Last year at 'All In', Mone had made her appearance. A few months after it, the talented wrestler made her AEW debut and has been one of the better-performing athletes on the roster.
