WATCH: Bret Hart takes a dig at AEW wrestlers, claims them to be actors

Bret Hart has stirred controversy with his opinion on the AEW Superstars. In an interview, the WWE Hall of Famer claimed the AEW Wrestlers to be the ones who pretend to be wrestlers but are mostly actors. Hart asked the AEW Superstars to concentrate more on their Wrestling. Bret's statement has received mixed opinions from the fans.

The Hitman compared the quality of Wrestling in the 1990s to the current era. He did not take the names of the individuals and felt that a majority of the current wrestlers are more of actors who pretend to be wrestlers. He felt there was no ruggedness in today's characters and added that the 1990s were the best era of Wrestling.

I miss the ruggedness of the characters. I think that's why I still think the 90s were the best era of wrestling," said the Hitman in the interview.

'Roman Reigns tries hard to earn the respect of my generation' - Bret Hart

The former WWE Superstar claimed that today's Wrestling garners attention more due to the promos and characters on TV. Bret claimed to be a fan of those who work a bit more on their Wrestling. He felt Roman Reigns to be someone who tries hard to earn the respect of wrestlers and fans from the 1990s.

"I find that today's wrestling is a little bit more about promos and your character on TV, and not so much your work rate. I like guys who throw back a little bit more to the work rate. Roman Reigns is a guy who I think tries hard to earn the respect of my generation," added the Hitman.

When asked about the AEW Superstars, Bret claimed them to be actors who pretend to be wrestlers. "AEW... I find that they're mostly actors trying to pretend to be wrestlers. Get on with the real wrestling and just quit acting so much," Bret added.
