Toni Storm, the Women's Word Champion of AEW, has selected her next opponent. Women's World Champion Toni Storm stepped to the microphone to challenge Megan Bayne to a match at the Dynasty pay-per-view on Sunday, April 6, following Bayne's victory over Kris Statlander in the main event of Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.

Megan Bayne Overpowers Kris Statlander to Secure Victory on AEW Dynamite

Megan Bayne showed off her strength and tenacity by controlling a large portion of the match against Statlander. Bayne refused to remain down despite some serious offenses from Statlander and interference by Penelope Ford. After a fierce battle in which both ladies executed German suplexes, Bayne won with a Falcon Arrow.

The main moment came after the game. The action spilled to ringside, knocking Storm, who had been on commentary, from her chair. She wrapped up her hand, rushed into the ring, and went straight for Bayne because she was not one to back down. Storm seized the microphone and declared it official, the audience ablaze. She looked directly at Bayne and said, "My God, you're a big b*tch!" before renouncing the challenge for AEW Dynasty 2025.

Toni Storm retained her title against Mariah May

If the bout get finalized, it will mark Bayne's first AEW PPV participation. Since joining the team in January, she has only worked on Dynamite and Collision episodes, defeating players like Thunder Rosa and Statlander in recent weeks. Toni Storm, meantime, just resolved her conflict with Mariah May. She kept her championship at AEW Revolution after defeating May in the Hollywood Ending match.

On April 6, 2025, the second annual Dynasty event will be hosted at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This will be AEW's first pay-per-view event in Pennsylvania. AEW's largest event of the spring will have even more firepower because of the matchup between Storm and Bayne, which already has a packed deck.
