Saints got his first opportunity to win a title tonight, and he gave it his all by defeating Shawn Spears to claim his first WWE title and take the title of NXT North American Champion. With this win, Ricky Saints has started a new era.
Spears' gang, The Cullen (Izzi Dame, Brooks Jensen, and Niko Vance), was at the ringside for the fight. Even though Spears had the numbers on his side, he was unable to hold onto his championship as Saints won his first WWE title. Saints had his job cut out for him since Shawn Spears was in his way. Β Mike Rome was there for ring introductions, which gave the event a big-time vibe. When The Cullen arrived at ringside in an attempt to change the odds, the situation became even more chaotic.

Ethan Page holds the record for fastest wrestler to win title
It worked for Ricky Saints while but later Shawn Spears maintained control. However, in the closing moments, Ricky Saints made a difference. He raced back into the match as the fans rallied behind him. Β In record time, Saints became the new NXT North American Champion after hitting his finisher and scoring the three-count.
The fastest wrestler to win the title was Ethan Page. Ethan Page made his debut in May 2024 and won his first title during 2024 NXT Heatwave against Trick Williams. His first title came in almost 40 days after making his debut. Before that the record was hold by Kevin Owens who won the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Rival in 2015, exactly 60 days after making his debut, after defeating Sami Zayn.
