Fans of professional wrestling were enthralled with the Unsanctioned Lights Out Cage Match, which they felt went too far. In a vicious match, Adam Page defeated Swerve Strickland; while Swerve is currently taking a vacation from AEW, Page is still very much in the game. Adam "Hangman" Page had the chance to proceed with his plot in Tony Khan's organization on September 18 at AEW Dynamite. A highlight package highlighting all of his recent accomplishments was shown to open the evening.

Tony Schiavone invited Hangman Page to the ring for an interview, and he had a distinct chip on his shoulder, and he had many things to say. Regarding his remarks from the previous week, Page said he had expected Swerve Strickland "to be dealt with, and he would be gone" in response to Schiavone's questions.

Booker T has shared his opinions on the contentious bout between Adam Page and Swerve Strickland at AEW All Out. Fans anticipated a bloody unsanctioned cage battle, akin to their Texas Death battle at Full Gear 2023. The addition of a hypodermic needle, in addition to the usage of a staple gun and a vicious chair shot to the skull, was the detail that most excited supporters. Seldom utilized in professional wrestling, many were disturbed by what they seen and have come under fire from the audience for going too far.

While he may be one of Strickland's biggest fans, Booker T offered an oddly nuanced analysis of the situation on his Hall of Fame podcast, stating that even though the match wasn't probably planned with him in mind, he's just not a fan of ultra-violence.

"Is AEW for this generation with what they're trying to cater to? Perhaps. But is it my cup of tea? No. Am I gonna let my kids watch somebody get stuck with a needle? I don't think I want my kids to see anything as far as hypodermic needles just because of what I had to see when I was a kid in real life with hypodermic needles. Something that's still embedded in my brain, how many lives that hypodermic needle really really ruined. So I look at that from a total different perspective than perhaps they do."

He's a hell of a talent - Booker T

"Before I even say anything, hell of a talent. He's a hell of a talent. The kid's incredible, he can do anything in the middle of that freaking square circle, extraordinary talent. It's just something that, you know, maybe he wants to get off his bucket list, going out and having these kinds of matches. One thing about these kinds of matches, it's a young man's game. You better get them out the way quick because I don't see that being a long-term deal where you can continuously go out and do that kind of stuff and get over".

The WWE Hall of Famer said that although he is not a fan of the match, he recognizes that there is a viewership for it when speaking about the match itself.
