3 Modern Wrestlers Often Compared to WWE Hall of Famers

The current era of WWE is claimed to be one of the best in recent times. The fans feel that the company currently has the most number of stars to look up to. However, there is also another section of fans who believe that there were many stars in the past like the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era. There is an argument regarding the latter providing the biggest stars of the last 10 years or so.

There is an argument over some of the current wrestlers depicting the roles of the stars from the past. While it is just an argument from the fans, there might be little to no attempt from the company to emulate the past wrestlers to promote the current ones. However, by the looks and the character of some wrestlers, the fans feel that there is a comparison between some of the current wrestlers with the WWE Hall of Famers.

Here are three wrestlers from the current roster who are compared by the fans with the WWE Hall of Famers.

Odyssey Jones and Mark Henry

Odyssey Jones recently made his debut on Raw. His giant presence and garments similar to that of Mark Henry could not help the fans to think him to be the next Mark Henry. Many felt that Jones was related to the world's strongest man in any way. Henry spoke about Jones in an interview.

The former Olympian claimed that he met the latest New Day member in a gym with a common friend. he claimed to be a friend with the mighty wrestler since then. The size, garments, and a similar face structure have led the fans to believe Odyssey to be the next Mark Henry.

Chad Gable and Kurt Angle

Chad Gable has been dubbed as the new Kurt Angle for a lot of factors. Both of their careers started as wrestlers at the Olympics. They then got drafted to WWE. Both are proud as Olympians. Kurt probably got a big breakthrough in WWE very quickly compared to Gable who became relevant only recently.

Kurt used to wear a wrestling dress and used to be booed by the fans as a heel with the chants of "You Suck". His ankle lock is regarded as one of the toughest submission moves. He had a great suplex. Even Gable wore similar dress as Kurt Angle and has been receiving chants of "You Suck" lately. His submission moves are similar to Angle's.

Damian Priest and The Undertaker

Damian Priest is regarded by many as the new Undertaker. There are many factors behind the comparison. The biggest of them is their height. Both are tall wrestlers. They started as heels and turned faces later to win the hearts of the fans. The Undertaker had Chokeslam as one of his finishers. Damain's South of Heaven Chokeslam is his finisher.

Before his finisher, the American Badass used to remove the top half of his garment, which is similar to the one followed by Priest. Undertaker had a hairstyle where he got the side part of the head shaved. Priest followed the same in the recent past. The costumes of both Undertaker and Damian have been similar as well.
