Adam Copeland and Christian Cage reunited on the August 13, 2025, episode of AEW Dynamite. Christian assisted his long-time friend Cope in his battle against FTR, Nick Wayne, and Kip Sabian. Copeland and Christian will team up to face Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian in a tag team match at the Forbidden Door 2025.

At AEW All In, Christian seemed all alone and lost, as the Patriarchy's Wayne and Sabian turned their back on him. They joined forces with FTR and launched a double attack on Cage, which shocked the AEW universe. That's when Cope returned and saved his long-time friend from FTR, Wayne, and Sabin's combined force.

Just when Cage thought Cope would attack him, the opposite happened. The former WWE Superstar asked Cage to find himself and let his friend recall his mistakes, so he could try to rectify them. Cope was himself betrayed by FTR, with whom he teamed up to take on the Death Riders. Patriarchy had joined forces with FTR to destroy Cope for good.

On AEW Dynamite, Cope had a match with Stoke, who refused multiple times. However, the funny match happened, and Copeland claimed an easy win. Following the match, FTR showed up and launched an attack on him. The veteran needed some help and indeed got it in the form of his friend.

Cage showed up with a barbed wire stick as a weapon and attacked FTR. He forced them to flee and had a small confrontation with Copeland. Without any hesitation, Adam hugged him. Christian hugged his friend back, marking their reunion. AEW later confirmed that Cage and Copeland will face Wayne and Sabin in a tag team match at Forbidden Door 2025.
