The Main Event of AEW All In 2025 featured a top faction's world champion, Jon Moxley from Death Riders, defending his title against Hangman Page, who was against odds. It was a story very similar to WWE's WrestleMania XL's Main Event, where Cody Rhodes was against odds, as he took on Roman Reigns in a Bloodline Rules match.

There were many other similarities to the Main Event of both nights. The characters involved in the Main Event and the story arc they had were very similar as well. Many top stars of the respective companies, like John Cena, Swerve Strickland, Bryan Danielson, and others, were involved in the match. All of them had a purpose for taking a particular side.

Roman Reigns: Jon Moxley

In WWE, Roman Reigns defended his world title against Cody Rhodes on the Main Event of Night 2 of WrestleMania XL. He was the top heel of the company and was unbeaten for 1316 days as a world champion. On the other hand, AEW had Jon Moxley as the top heel, who defended his world title against Hangman Page and had odds in his favor.

Cody Rhodes: Hangman Page

At WrestleMania XL, the odds were clearly against Cody, as he had lost the Main Event of Night 1 along with Seth Rollins to The Rock and Roman, leading to a Bloodline Rules match on Night 2. Similar to it, Page had numbers against him, as Jon Moxley had the back of other Death Riders stars like PAC, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, and Marina Shafir.

Seth Rollins: Swerve Strickland

Seth Rollins was an integral part of WrestleMania XL and, in fact, its MVP. He ensured Cody did not take Roman's spear on Night 1 and even helped him on Night 2, despite the huge differences he had with Rhodes in the past. It could be argued that Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page are the greatest rivals of the 2020s. Yet, Strickland forgot their past differences and helped Page beat Moxley.

Bloodline: Death Riders

Both Main Events had the dominant heel faction supporting the champion. Death Riders had Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, and Marina Shafir backing Moxley. On the other hand, at WrestleMania XL, Roman had the backing from Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, Paul Heyman, and a special force in The Rock during the buildup to their match.

Jimmy Uso: Wheeler Yuta

Jimmy Uso was an integral part of Bloodline and was taken out by his twin brother, Jey Uso, during the Main Event of Night 2. Likewise, Wheeler Yuta was a part of the Death Riders and helped Moxley and Co. with his might. Earlier in the night, Yuta, PAC, and Castagnoli lost their AEW Trios title, which dented their confidence levels, just like how Jimmy lost to Jey on Night 1 of WrestleMania XL.

Jey Uso: Darby Allin

Jey Uso came as an equalizer to his twin brother Jimmy at WrestleMania XL and ensured that one of the major threats to Cody was out of his way. Something similar happened at AEW All In, in a much grander fashion, as Darby Allin returned for the first time in over half a year and helped Hangman against the Death Riders.

Solo Sikoa: Claudio Castagnoli

Solo Sikoa was the Enforcer of the Bloodline and Roman for a long time. He even took John Cena out at Crown Jewel 2023 and became a stronger version of himself. Likewise, Claudio was one of the key protectors of Moxley and ensured the leader of the group remained the champ for a long time.

John Cena: Bryan Danielson

At WrestleMania XL, John Cena returned and took out Solo, who ensured he was away from action for more than 4 months. He also delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Roman and had a faceoff with The Final Boss. Likewise, Bryan Danielson took out Moxley and Co., who had ensured he was out of action for a long time.
