PKL 11 squad analysis - Can Pardeep Narwal's return boost chances for Bengaluru Bulls?

Bengaluru Bulls have a new look for their squad in the PKL 2024. In the auctions, they went for some top players like Pardeep Narwal, and Ajinkya Pawar, and a young raider like Jai Bhagwan. The return of Pardeep could be a big boost for the Bulls. However, his form remains a massive concern for the team. Ajinkya and Bhagwan's form as raiders will be crucial for their success.

The 20-year-old Bhagwan was bought for INR 63 lakhs. While Pardeep Narwal went for 70 lakhs, Pawar was bought after spending 1.107 crores. Their squad now has a good mix of Raiders and defenders. Though defence might be concerning, they have the players who could fill in crucial spots. 

The raiding department has a task cut out. The trio of Pardeep, Ajinkya, and Jai could start for the Bulls at the start of the season. Though Akshit did well last season, he might have to wait for his chances. They additionally have many other good raiders like Pramot Saising, Jatin, and Sushil. These Raiders can be handy as backup options in the upcoming PKL.

Options in the defensive department

In the defensive department, the Bulls have options for cover and corner. Hasun Thongkruea has exposure in the right corner and could be handy as a backup for the skipper Saurabh Nandal. Ponparthiban Subramanian is available on the right cover. Parteek is available for the left cover role. Rohit Kumar is also available for the left cover role.

In the left corner, Bengaluru Bulls have Aditya Shankar Powar. Arulnanthababu will be useful as the right corner who could be a backup for Nandal. The star of the Bulls could turn out to be Nitin Rawl, the only All-Rounder in their squad. His ability to defend in different positions could prove to be handy. Bengaluru might be a bit weak on defence. In the raiding department, they have proven performers.
