'I didn’t expect the distance which I threw in the final' - Navdeep Singh
"I just got carried away with the aggression. We have put in lots of hard work in our preparation, so it all happens. I have practised for five years in Delhi so Delhi ki hawa pani me hi aisa hai to ye sab hoga," said Navdeep in the interaction.
In the Men's Javelin Throw F41 Category, Navdeep bagged the gold medal with a best throw of 47.32 meters which was his new personal best. Modi asked what was going through in his mind before the event. Singh said he was not thinking about anything and only focused on his throw. Navdeep Singh did not expect himself to do as well as he eventually did.
"Nothing was going on in my mind. If we think about the result our result might be affected, so I was fully prepared before the final. The coach was happy with my throw, so I was also happy. I didn’t expect the distance which I threw in the final but it all went well," added Navdeep.
