Swedish Footballer Star Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened up about why he refrains from being a coach to a team. In his illustrious career, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a total of 496 goals in 827 appearances, including 93 goals for Milan, which was only surpassed by his time with Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored 156 goals.

In his last two seasons with AC Milan, Ibrahimovic appeared 31 times in all competitions and scored nine goals, but he only started 12 of those games. This paved the way for emerging talents like Rafael Leao to take centre stage, as Ibrahimovic focused on setting an example for young players rather than pursuing personal glory.

In an earlier interview with The Athletic, Ibrahimovic expressed confidence in his ability to excel in various sports and mentioned his background in taekwondo, highlighting his agility and speed despite his imposing height of 1.97m. He conveyed that while he could potentially thrive in many sports, he acknowledged the unique appeal of being on the football pitch.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals the reason for not choosing to be a Head Coach

In a recent interview, the former Puskas award winner disclosed the reason behind his decision to refrain from pursuing a head coaching position in the future. Ibrahimovic stated that he believes his intense temperament and combative nature would make it challenging for him to effectively coach a team, potentially leading to confrontations with players both during and after matches.

On being questioned, whether he wanted to pursue the position of Head Coach Ibrahimovic stated, "Impossible. During the game I would punch at least two players and after the game eight".

Zlatan has previously expressed that he is not inclined to pursue a coaching role. In an earlier interview with the Athletic, the Swedish had stated, "You see my grey hair? Fully grey hair is after one week as a coach. A coach's life is up to 12 hours per day. You absolutely don't have free time. My role is to connect everything; to be a leader from above and to make sure the structure and organisation work. To keep everybody on their toes."
