Premier League side Nottingham Forest is preparing to make a major investment by putting forth a club-record offer for Wolves forward Matheus Cunha. They are among five Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, expressing interest in acquiring the talented player. Reports suggest that an offer in the region of £60 million might entice Wolves to consider a sale.

However, the Wolves remain firm in their stance, asserting that Cunha is not available for transfer during this window despite the interest he has attracted.

Cunha, with two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, is an essential player for Wolves as they strive to remain in the Premier League.

Wolves asserts Cunha is not for sale

Wolves are confident and composed regarding Cunha's contract situation. Ongoing discussions about a new contract focus on rewarding his good form and contributions to the team he made over the past year.

Although a new contract hasn’t been finalized yet, it is believed that this will not adversely affect Cunha's future at Wolves. The club is in a strong financial position, having generated over £90 million from the transfers of Pedro Neto and Max Kilman last summer, which alleviates any immediate need to sell Cunha. Instead, Wolves are prioritizing their focus on securing safety in the Premier League.

Wolves have made their stance on Cunha very clear: he is not for sale. Despite rumours, no offers have been received, and no contact has been initiated by other clubs.

The 25-year-old is understandably frustrated after being criticized by manager Vitor Pereira following the team's loss to Chelsea on Monday night. Pereira specifically pointed out his dissatisfaction with Cunha's body language during the match.

Arsenal is also monitoring the situation regarding Cunha, as he has emerged as a potential target for them. Similarly, Manchester City has identified Cunha as a player of interest. Wolves, currently positioned 17th in the Premier League table, are keen to retain Cunha to strengthen their squad and avoid relegation.
