Gabriel Magalhães's presence will be of most importance when Arsenal challenge the reigning champions of the Champions League. Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta was also concerned about Gabriel's fitness after their fixture against Fulham.

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães was forced to leave the pitch due to a right hamstring injury early in the 2-1 victory against Fulham in the Premier League on Tuesday. The Brazilian centre-back pulled up while sprinting back towards his goal as Fulham initiated a counterattack. Once play was halted, he fell to the ground and shook his head, indicating that he should be substituted.

In the post-match press conference, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his concerns about Gabriel's injury.

“We are worried because he never wants to come off. He's not sure about how big it is and what it is exactly." Arteta said.

On being asked about whether Gabriel will feature in the match against Real Madrid, Mikel Arteta appeared 'unsure.'

"Difficult, but let's see.” Arteta added.

Arsenal will square off against Real Madrid over a two-legged fixture in the month of April.

Mikel Arteta's gunners have had a season plagued with injuries, with key players like Riccardo Calafiori, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Ben White already missing action. In addition to the star players, Arteta emphasised that the club's full-back Jurrien Timber struggled with an old issue in the match against Fulham. However, he played at par with his expectations and justified his selection.
