Manchester United Christmas

As part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's ongoing brutality, INEOS has chosen to cancel Manchester United's staff Christmas party. According to The Athletic, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS company have chosen to terminate the Christmas party that the club's employees typically celebrate in the lead-up to December 25 after making the difficult choice to remove renowned manager Sir Alex Ferguson from his position as club's global ambassador.

Ratcliffe adopted INEOS' cost-cutting strategy after purchasing a minority share in the team earlier this year, and the stringent restrictions are part of that strategy. Club credit cards have already been taken away from a number of key employees after the British billionaire arrived at Old Trafford. The staff had to bear their own expenses if they wished to watch the FA Cup final back in May.

Players can still take part in the celebrations as long as head coach Erik ten Hag permits it, even though the employee's Christmas party is currently canceled. When the Red Devils return to action on Saturday, they will play Brentford in the English Premier League at Old Trafford in an attempt to snap their five-game winless streak in all competitions.

What are the major fixture changes for Manchester United?

Following the release of the most recent broadcast choices, Manchester United's mid-December rivalry trip towards the Etihad Stadium to play their neighbors, Manchester City, has been rescheduled. Originally slated to travel the short distance across the entire city on Saturday, December 14, Manchester United will now play Pep Guardiola's team on Sunday, December 15.

All four of United's previous trips to the blue part of Manchester have taken place on a Sunday afternoon. United last triumphed at the Etihad in March 2021. The match between Manchester United and Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium is being rescheduled for Wednesday, December 4, ahead of the trip to the Etihad. Regarding the holiday season, United's match against AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday, December 21 will still start at the customary time of 3 p.m.
