Sir Alex dressing room ban

The Manchester United board and Sir Alex Ferguson have reportedly been instructed not to enter the team's locker room, according to the Daily Mail. This follows the renowned manager's contract as the club's ambassador being terminated.

Although his multimillion-pound contract as the club's ambassador has ended, the legendary manager is still permitted to attend games at the club. Under the leadership of billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the club's co-owners, INEOS, are attempting to reduce expenses and save money. One aspect of the club's culture that is about to change is heading to the dressing room.

Ferguson and other boardroom leaders like Sir Bobby Charlton, Mike Edelson, and David Gill were frequent visitors to the dressing room, but according to the article, there is now a consensus on who is allowed inside to watch the players.

After taking over Old Trafford's operations, INEOS is implementing reforms at the club. In order to help manager Erik ten Hag, they signed players during the summer transfer window, and they are prepared to go to whatever lengths to improve the team's standards and restore its competitiveness.

250 departmental layoffs were another well-known action taken by INEOS that will significantly reduce club expenses. Ferguson will no longer receive compensation from the club, but he will remain a non-executive director.

Manchester United target prefers Real Madrid move

Benfica's left-back Alvaro Carreras, who joined the Eagles from Manchester United during the summer for €6 million, has enjoyed a fantastic start to this campaign in Lisbon. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus have all scouted the 21-year-old Carreras, but Manchester United has expressed the greatest desire to re-sign their former academy star.

Nevertheless, Carreras would rather move to Real Madrid than return to Old Trafford, as reported by Record in Portugal. Of course, that shouldn't, in principle, jeopardize United's goals. In the event that another team decides to pursue Carreras, they will have an advantage in discussions because they have a €20 million buyback clause on him.
