FC Barcelona dashed the hopes of their arch-rivals Real Madrid for any silverware this season by defeating Espanyol and securing the La Liga title for the 2024-25 season. As a result, Real Madrid has been dethroned from both domestic and European club competitions.

Lamine Yamal's solid season may earn him his first Ballon d'Or
Lamine Yamal's performance has echoed his name amongst the top contenders for the Ballon d'Or season. He has been very influential in the side's exploits this season. He has made 42 goal contributions this season, including 17 goals and 25 assists across club competitions. He has also completed the domestic treble by winning La Liga, the Copa Del Rey and the Supercopa de España. In addition, he is the player with the most big chance creations and successful dribbles in Europe.
