Despite being one of the Premier League's busier teams during the transfer window, Chelsea still has a lot on their plate. Under Enzo Maresca's direction, the Blues have introduced six new players to Stamford Bridge as the team continues to develop quickly under BlueCo's ownership. While on a preseason visit to the United States, the new recruits are getting to know one another; many players are still in London.

Chelsea wants to let go of a number of players, a few of whom had been put up for sale last summer. To make way for Malang Sarr to relocate to RC Lens, his contract has already been canceled.

Sarr was a member of Thomas Tuchel's Club World Cup-winning team when he joined on a free transfer. The Frenchman spent the entire season training apart from the first squad after failing to land a transfer the previous year. In order to prevent a recurrence of the events of 2023–2024, Sarr consented to forego any compensation.

Sarr was not the only star Chelsea had trouble offloading in the previous summer. Romelu Lukaku stayed apart from the team in an attempt to find a move, but he was only able to sign an agreement to loan to Roma. With Napoli among his possible suitors, the Belgian forward is nevertheless hoping for a transfer. Antonio Conte, the former manager of Chelsea and Inter Milan, may get back together as a result of this.

Which other players will Chelsea offload this year?

As his time in west London comes to an end, Kepa Arrizabalaga, who had been sent to Real Madrid on the closing day of the previous season, is probably going to depart Chelsea during the coming weeks. Chelsea has also stated quite clearly what they intend to do with Trevoh Chalobah. It is anticipated that the defender, who remained noticeably missing from Maresca's team that went to the US, will fetch a healthy profit when he is sold.

Conor Gallagher was for purchase last summer and is still available; his current contract finishes in just over a year. Despite Mauricio Pochettino's admiration for the England international, who has drawn interest from Atletico Madrid, the player has not yet been included in Chelsea's team despite his heroics at UEFA Euro 2024.
