The 2024–25 Fantasy Premier League season will begin in only one week. The release of the game and the confirmation of player prices last month have fueled anticipation for the next season. Supervisors will have assembled and disassembled their teams innumerable times previously. And there are going to be further reconstructions but which players are the most selected ahead of Gameweek 1?

Which FPL players are selected the most ahead of Gameweek 1?

5. Son Heung-min

Son Heung-min, a midfielder with the ability to play more forward, seems essential. The South Korean is going to have a major role in the assault, even if Tottenham Hotspur has another player leading the line. Son scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 27 goals last season. Keep in mind that he receives five points for each goal, so a season similar to this would elevate him.

4. Bukayo Saka

Saka finished as the third-highest producing midfielder with 226 points, demonstrating his yearly improvement. He has established himself as one of the league's top players and a top fantasy football choice over the past two seasons. The England international is a first-choice penalty taker, plays for one of the league's top teams, and can also be found on set pieces. Gameweek 1's opening matchup between Mikel Arteta's team and Wolves at home is exciting, with Arsenal as the heavy favorite to score more than two goals.

3. Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer of Chelsea was the greatest fantasy asset throughout the game the previous season, and after a delayed comeback from international service this summer, he has cracked the top five. He scored from the spot with a penalty during this match the last time both of these teams faced in the Premier League, therefore he is still favored to do well against his old club Manchester City during opening weekend. Palmer should be helped by Chelsea's window strengthening.

2. Mohamed Salah

With a scoring percentage of 20.89 as well as an xA of 7.47 from previous season, Mohamed Salah tallied 18 goals and produced 12 assists. Despite just starting 28 games, the Egyptian enjoyed yet another successful campaign. Based on his pre-season performance, he is fit, and I have no explanation why he can't reach about 30 attacking returns once more. He still has a good several years left to play at the highest level. He has a ton of goal and assist ability and is guaranteed to start on penalties. It makes sense that he is the league's second-most selected player.

1. Erling Haaland

This summer, the Manchester City attacker broke the record for being the most expensive star in FPL history. He was worth more than Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie, and Cristiano Ronaldo combined, and his price was up £1.0 million from the previous season. With 73% ownership, the Norwegian was undoubtedly the most-picked athlete in the contest last year. He scored 217 points, a considerable decrease from his 272-point total from the 2022–2023 season.
