Tottenham Hotspurs are set to investigate the latest viral video doing the rounds including one of their star players. Yves Bissouma was seen inhaling laughing gas in a video going viral in the last few days. The Spurs midfielder wasn’t in his senses when the video went viral.

Yves Bissouma later apologized for his actions, but it might not be enough as the club could either fine the player. This move comes just days before the new season of the English Premier League season is set to begin.

According to the laws, any possession or consumption of the said laughing gas was judged to be unlawful and illegal. People indulging in such acts could either be jailed for 24 months or a very hefty fine.

With just a few days left for Tottenham Hotspur set to begin their English Premier League campaign, the club finds itself in a hole. The fate of their midfielder Yves Bissouma isn’t known after he was seen inhaling the already prohibited laughing recently.

One witness who saw the event take place said, “It beggars belief any Premier League star would openly take a hippy crack. It’s a criminal offence and Yves now likely faces a police probe, let alone severe club sanctions.”

According to a club source, “The new season kicks off next weekend and he has let down every single Spurs fan. Boss Ange Postecoglou will see red. Sharing the footage himself is utterly brainless.”

While speaking to the leading English newspaper The Sun, Tottenham said “We are looking into the events. This will be dealt with as an internal matter.”. Yves Bissouma for his part put out an apology and said “I want to apologise for these videos. This was a severe lack of judgment. I understand how serious this is and the health risks involved, and I also take my responsibility as a footballer and role model very seriously.”

Tottenham Hotspurs will begin their English Premier League with the Monday night game against Leicester City. Their next two matches are against Everton and Newcastle United before the international break. Their fourth game of the season will be the heated London derby versus Arsenal set to be played at home.
