Joshua Kimmich has indicated that he is not ready to provide an update regarding his future at Bayern Munich. There is considerable speculation linking him to a potential move to Real Madrid.

With his contract at the Bundesliga club set to expire in June, Kimmich is of high interest at Real Madrid as they seek a permanent replacement for Toni Kroos, who recently retired at the end of the last season. As Kimmich is poised to become a free agent next summer, he could emerge as a valuable and cost-effective option for the club.

Bayern Munich is optimistic about the possibility of extending Joshua Kimmich's contract beyond 2025. Kimmich has indicated that he plans to announce his decision later this month.

“I made a relatively clear statement two weeks ago. There’s no change in the situation now. To be honest, I can’t stand up every three days and give you an update. There will be an update at some point, but I’m not going to comment on it every three days," Kimmich said.

Bayern Munich won't keep waiting for long

Recently, Bayern's sporting director, Christopher Freund, expressed his confidence in Kimmich’s willingness to renew his contract.

Bayern director Max Eberl has stated unequivocally that the club will no longer wait for Kimmich to finalise his decision. If Kimmich chooses not to extend his contract with Bayern until June, numerous clubs are prepared to seize the opportunity to sign him as a free agent.

“New deal for Kimmich? Of course, we know that we can't wait forever. But we want to give Joshua a bit of time and let his thoughts mature that Bayern Munich is the club where he wants to continue. That's legitimate." Eberl said.
