The Tale of the Fixture

Real Madrid made a strong impression early on, taking the lead just five minutes into the game in Jeddah. Vinicius Junior played a key role by effectively winning the ball off Casado, leading to a swift attack. He delivered an accurate pass to Mbappe on his right, who confidently surged into the box and scored, putting Madrid ahead.

Barcelona's Wonderkid led the club's comeback during the finals. Lamine Yamal replied with a goal of his own as he netted the equaliser in the 22nd minute.

The team responded with urgency, netting two quick goals. Veteran striker Robert Lewandowski confidently converted a penalty in the 36th minute, and moments later, Catalan skipper Raphinha found the net in the 39th minute with an exquisite finish off a brilliant cross from Kounde.

Barcelona's left-back, Balde, also joined the scoresheet by netting one of his own in the 10 minutes of extra time during the first half. The Catalans, under the leadership of their captain Raphinha, continued to press hard, with Raphinha scoring early in the second half after foxing around Tchouameni.

However, Barcelona faced a setback when their goalkeeper, Szczęsny, received a red card for a foul on Mbappe just outside the box, leaving the team to navigate the remainder of the match with 10 players. This challenge brought out a response from Rodrygo, who scored Madrid's second goal, injecting some energy into their performance against the Catalans. Despite the adversity, Barcelona's resilience was evident as they worked hard to maintain their lead and eventually won the game.
