Watch: Raphinha scores a left-footed screamer against Borussia Dortmund

The UEFA Champions League made an exciting return this week with an important matchup as Borussia Dortmund faced off against Hansi Flick's Barcelona at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday.

Borussia Dortmund, were positioned fourth in the UEFA Champions League standings, had demonstrated impressive form throughout the European campaign this season. Meanwhile, Barcelona had been performing strongly under Hansi Flick's leadership, holding third place in the Champions League table.

Barcelona has made significant strides under Hansi Flick, though they faced a challenging stretch of results last month. In recent days, the Catalans have demonstrated clear signs of a resurgence and were fully prepared to face the challenge at Signal Iduna Park.

Borussia Dortmund enjoyed the support of their enthusiastic home crowd, but they were up against a formidable attacking force on Wednesday.

The tale of unstoppable Raphina 

The first half showcased a competitive matchup, with both teams displaying their skills but ultimately ending without a goal, keeping the score at 0-0. The second half, however, saw a brilliant start for the Catalans as their captain, Raphinha, scored the first goal in the 53rd minute.

Olmo executed a well-timed through ball to Raphinha's left, who outpaced Emre Can and skillfully placed the ball into the bottom right corner, putting Barcelona in the lead.

Following a VAR review, the referee confirmed the goal as valid, allowing the visitors to take a goal advantage in the match.

However, Barcelona's lead didn't last long as Dortmund found a way to equalize in the 60th minute by converting a penalty kick from the spot, via S. Guirassy. Ferran Torres brought Barca back into the game in the 75th minute but again Dortmund's Guirassy equalized the score in the 78th minute. It was Torres again who scored the final goal of the match in 85th minute and won the match for Barcelona.
