The Spanish national team played their third match in the UEFA Nations League in an exciting setting: Murcia. This was their first match on home soil since winning the Euro championship. Due to injuries, De la Fuente had to make several adjustments. Zubimendi stepped in for Rodri, Oyarzabal replaced Nico Williams, and Porro took over for Carvajal.

Spain emerged victorious via Martin's Screamer

In a hard-fought match, Spain emerged victorious in Murcia, securing a 1-0 win over Denmark and claiming the top spot in their UEFA Nations League group. Spain demonstrated control from the onset, maintaining possession and patiently seeking opportunities to break through the Danish defence.

Lamine Yamal had an excellent opportunity for Spain in the first half, capitalizing on a superb pass from Pedro Porro to find himself in a 1v1 situation with Kasper Schmeichel. However, the Barcelona player failed to keep his shot on target, sending his effort high over the crossbar.

Spain missed another excellent opportunity to take the lead in the 68th minute, with Alvaro Morata unable to convert from close range as Kasper Schmeichel made a fine save to deny the Spaniard. However, Luis de la Fuente’s team persisted and were rewarded just before the 80-minute mark when Martin Zubimendi scored from distance, propelling Spain to the top of Group A4.

In the 79th minute, Martin Zubmiendi seized the opportunity and unleashed a powerful volley from outside the box, resulting in the ball finding its way past Kasper Schmeichel and into the back of the net.

Denmark received a higher number of bookings, accumulating 4 yellow cards compared to Spain's 1. Spain's goalkeeper, David Raya, delivered an impressive performance and secured a clean sheet.
